E-Cigarettes – Are They Worth the chance?
What exactly is an electronic cigarette? An electronic cigarette is basically an electric device which simulates traditional tobacco smoking. It usually includes a tank, an atomizer, and a rechargeable power source like a battery or coil. Rather than tobacco, the user usually inhales nicotine vapor instead.
Vaping is not the same as smoking. In fact, it’s completely different. Now, rather than ingesting smoke JUUL Pods through your lungs, you breathe in vapor instead. As such, using an electronic cigarette, also known as “vaping”, is frequently referred to as “smoking” instead. And the electric cigarettes do produce some quantity of vapor, although not enough to really smoke. They still, however, help provide a less harmful option to actual tobacco consumption.
The key reason why quitting is so important is because there is some evidence showing that long-term use of any tobacco products could cause serious lung damage, even death. Smoking in itself doesn’t cause these issues, but the combination with other tobacco products could cause serious damage to your lungs. These are the primary reasons why many people who try to quit smoking end up failing. If you aren’t sure about quitting, you then should really take into account the serious health effects that you could be facing. You would be wise to quit vaping once and for all.
Not merely is there some definite health effects of long-term electronic smoking devices, there is also a growing body of scientific research indicating that there are several definite benefits to these products. A few of the benefits include you are not using actual tobacco, thus preventing a few of the associated diseases and symptoms. You are not inhaling smoke, meaning that you are not ingesting some of the toxins and poisons that are present in smoke. Additionally, there is the argument that electronic smoking devices are better for your lungs than cigarettes since they do not produce just as much carbon monoxide. It, as you probably know, is considered to be one of the leading causes of heart disease.
The issue with this line of thought, however, is that e-cigs contain both electronic nicotine and liquid nicotine. Once you combine the two, what you get is a product that is twice as harmful to your lungs as cigarettes are. Actually, nicotine and liquid de-pipe have already been proven to have greater cancer causing effects than traditional cigarettes. There is absolutely no doubt that e Cigarettes are a better alternative than the conventional ones, but you really need to be careful.
E-Cigarette companies in the United States are not subject to any of the same regulations as those that regulate regular cigarettes. This may lead to younger people using e Cigarettes, which can result in serious problems down the road. One of the items that we are concerned about now, is how e Cigarette companies are developing advertisements that interest the teenage market. It would appear that there may be as much as 20 different flavors currently available.
Not only are there more flavors of e Cigarettes, additionally, there are a variety of companies that are developing different types of kits which you can use to recharge these units. Most kits includes a charger and an atomizer. The problem is that the battery powered batteries in these kits won’t work once the electronic cigarette reaches its full potential. Instead of the battery dying out completely, the electronic smoker will start to smell like burned fish or grass. These kits are not only dangerous because they will give children the opportunity to start smoking again, they’ll also be exposing our kids to harmful carcinogens and toxins that have been discovered in traditional cigarettes.
It doesn’t matter how you feel about e-Cigarettes or any type of tobacco product, there is absolutely no doubt that they should be regulated to safeguard public health. There is no doubt that kids should not be able to access these products minus the supervision of adults. However, regulating the sale of e-Cigarettes to younger people and making them pay higher prices for these products is not the solution. The solution would be to regulate the advertising of these devices to younger people in a fashion that is similar to just how tobacco companies have targeted their ads. By making teenagers pay higher charges for e-Cigarettes and mandating that retailers cover storage costs, the public health officials can at least make some headway in reducing the quantity of young people starting to smoke.
